a versus b
Has anybody figured out how to read the a versus b display on the 190 series? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Measuring what? You have to be more specific.

You know I never used that function. I used all the other ones except for that one. That caught me off guard.
For example:
A * B you would use if for instance you needed to know VA. Ok, so the scope shows a green trace (M) what the va would be. For an example I will choose 2 volts ac on channel A, and 2 amps on channel B. So the (M) trace would be 4 (at its peak).
Now, If lets say you wanted to know the impedance of a solenoid. You would use the math function A\B. For example purposes I will choose 2 volts ac on A, and 2 amps ac on B. I would have expected an (M) trace, but instead you get a plot. I understand A = Y and B = X. But all I see is a skid mark and dont know what to make of it.
Thanks Bill

Hmmm, don't think that I ever used that function either but don't you get a numeric reading also?

Re: a versus b
If I remember right this plot shows wether its capacitive resistive or inductive.
But Where is the actual value_?

For a more in depth approach, start at page 141 of this book , and read on.
